What is a Morning Star Candlestick Pattern?
A Morning Star Candlestick Pattern is a bullish reversal pattern that develops after a downtrend. It consists of three candlesticks that form the pattern. The first candlestick is short-bodied and usually black, followed by two long-bodied white candles, which are the second and third candlesticks in the pattern.
The second and third white candlesticks should have higher highs and higher lows than the first black one. The height of the second or third candle should be at least twice as high as the first candle's height; both candles should be at least as long as the first one too.
How to Spot the Morning Star Pattern in Trade Patterns
The Morning Star Pattern is a reversal pattern in the price of stocks, bonds, and commodities. It is also called the Shooting Star Pattern and the Evening Star Pattern.
The Morning Star Pattern may be bearish or bullish depending on the market, but it’s most commonly seen as a bullish reversal signal. The pattern can also emerge before or after a trend has developed as an indication of trend reversals.
