Top 7 FREE Trading Tools for Beginner Investors 2021
Watch how I use these 7 FREE websites to help me choose the best stocks to buy.
Want to start buying stocks? Use these links to get freebies:
RakutenTrade ► https://themillennialfinance.com/rakuten (FREE 500 Rakuten Points)
WeBull ► https://themillennialfinance.com/webull (FREE stocks)
RESOURCE #1: Your brokerage app
Currently i use Rakuten for Malaysian stocks & eToro or WeBull for U.S stocks.
Rakuten has a nice screener and also gives the basic stock info like PE/Ratio, Market Cap, dividend yield and much more.
My favourite part is their research & news. They give daily technical reports and sometimes investing ideas.
For US stocks, WeBull gives a lot of good information that helps you keep track of everything on the broker itself.
News & financials are basic, but there's also a nice analysis tab that includes analyst projections, institutional holdings, & insider activity.
RESOURCE #2: TradingView
This is my favourite choice for charting. Even for my long term investments, I do keep up with the charts to know how strong the stock is technically and help me identify entry points.
TradingView can be used completely free, but I did sign up for the paid subscription to have extra indicators.
They also have screeners for you to get some ideas and for traders, you can check out some of the trading ideas too

RESOURCE #3: Seeking Alpha
Now comes the part where we get actual information about the company in more detail.
It's a platform where anyone can write articles about stocks for you to read. There's a free version where you get 3 articles free every month.
Its good for me because I get to see peoples POV on a company and most of the times they also do extensive research.
It saves me time going through multiple resources to get the information and I use this the most to get fundamental information on the companies I want to invest in.
RESOURCE #4: The Motley Fool
If you don’t want to sign up for a paid subscription, The Motley Fool is also not bad to get some fundamental info.
However, these are all hired writers and generally not so in depth. There's a paid version that gives stock picks but I don’t use it.
I just read the free articles and there's no limit to how many you can read and you can also read companies earning call transcript here.
RESOURCE #5: KLSE investor
KLSE Investor is one of the best ones I've found for info on Malaysian stocks.
You get basic information, and financials and you can also see analyst price targets, but that's not the fun part.
You can actually read why they set their price targets as such. You get to read into the mind of analysts and how they feel about the stock.
You can also click on headlines to read articles about the stock similar to Seeking Alpha.
These are written by either analysts or random people in the community, so make sure to do your own due diligence before taking their word.
RESOURCE #6: Koyfin
Back to U.S stocks, I use this free platform that gives really detailed financial information on your stocks.
You get highlights of revenue growth, profits, analyst estimates, and price multiples like price earning or price to sales.
It's a very handy tool for me to get all the financial information i need in just 1 place.
RESOURCE #7: Twitter
This is actually my most used social media app, and it made me become an investor in Twitter.
I use it is because there’s lots of really smart investors on the platform that I follow (Puru, Backpacker FI, Plantmath), and they come up with really good information.
It helps me find new ideas where I then do more research on the other platforms.
